Mercy Ships needed to raise awareness and drive support for their vital work providing free healthcare in some of the world’s poorest regions. With hospital ships staffed by volunteers, they rely on donors to sustain operations. The videos highlight urgent issues like access to medical care and the impact of COVID-19, using compelling stories and visuals to inspire action and convert viewers into long-term supporters.
During the Discovery phase, Liquona developed five unique campaign concepts for Mercy Ships, ensuring each aligned with their mission and goals. These concepts were shared with focus groups, enabling us to gather valuable feedback and assess emotional resonance, clarity, and impact. This collaborative approach allowed us to identify the most compelling and effective campaign content, ensuring the final videos would engage audiences, inspire action, and maximise support for Mercy Ships’ vital work.
During the Develop phase, Liquona combined live-action filming and animations to bring Mercy Ships’ stories to life. Unable to film on the ship in Africa, we recreated the hospital environment in a London studio, ensuring authenticity through careful set design. Stunning animations complemented the footage, enhancing storytelling and conveying the charity’s vital mission. This blend of techniques created engaging, visually compelling content to inspire audiences and highlight Mercy Ships’ impactful work.
The Deploy phase focused on strategically launching Mercy Ships’ adverts, managing media spend effectively to maximise reach and impact. Using targeted TV platforms like Sky AdSmart, we ensured the adverts reached the right audience. Continuous monitoring and optimisation guaranteed efficient use of resources, driving awareness, donations, and long-term supporter engagement.
